The Difference Between An Online Business And An Offline Business

In this blog, I want to talk about the differencies between an online business and an offline business. We all know that the fastest way to get rich is to build you own business. However, you have to choose. Online or offline business?

The most important factor is your goals. What are your goals? What do you want to achieve? If you want freedom and want to travel the world, then online business can be favorable for you. At the beginning, every business require a lot of time and energy. However, you can start your online business from anywhere.

The next question is: what is your passion? If you want to be a doctor, then you can’t choose the online formula. However, most of the cases you can work online. For example, if you want to be a dog trainer, you can even create an online dog training course. Anyway, I believe every business (online and offline too) have to advertise online. With online advertising you can reach global audience of billions and it’s more easily and effectively than offline advertising.

An online business is always open, while offline business usually operate on fixed hours. That means, you can make sales less often in an offline business. However, an offline business requires substantial initial investment. You have to buy or rent a phisical location, you must pay high costs for premises, utilities and parking and most cases you have to maintain a physical inventory.

Online businesses are less expensive to established and operate. Online businesses are location independent. There is no expense for premises, utilities and parking. You don’t even need to maintain a physical inventory. It’s much simpler. That’s why there is potential for higher ROI in the long-term. And you definitely need to think long-term.

You can reach much more people online than offline. You can open a local clothes store or you can start an online store too. If you want to reach people all over the world, then the online store is definitely the best choice.

Of course, not everyone want a big audience. A few years ago, I started a dog trainer business in Budapest, Hungary. I don’t want to get customers from all over the world. It would had been an impossible task for me. 🙂 My goal was to help as many people as I could with their dogs, but my time was limited.

After a while I became unsatisfied. I couldn’t help as many people as I wanted to. That’s why I started to think about online business ideas. I realized that I can help people online with online dog training courses and online books. For example, I wrote a book about essential oils for pets and published it on Amazon. I created a really valueble content about this topic and now I can share it with anyone all over the world. I can share this knowledge with everyone, not just with people in my city.

      I also took a look at your website and it’s really good. You need to think about where your niche is. I think you can find them on forums, facebook groups and any other social media platform.

      However, I recommend something else instead of the newsletter. The thing is that people don’t really like newsletters, they want something valueable. They want something like a free report, a free ebook, a free template, a free checklist, a free video (webinar), a free case study, a free software or a free coupon.
